We are dedicated to providing high-quality popcorn of various delicious mouthwatering flavors in a comfortable atmosphere for guests who seek a fun gourmet experience outside other shops and restaurants.
Po River Apiary, our small home-based business, practices all natural hive management methods and uses no chemicals.
The bees have our organically tended gardens to forage, as well as the Virginia countryside surrounding our home in
Spotsylvania county.
Our honey is harvested once a year, truly going from the beehive straight into your jar. We’re out of Honey. Harvest time is this summer!
Uncle June’s is a unique sauce unlike any other you’ve tried. Extrapolated from an old slave recipe, it uses simple ingredients and spices commonly used in the 18th and 19th centuries. Uncle June’s is not a sauce made from other sauces like so many others. You will not find ketchup, mustard, Worcester sauce, or liquid smoke among our ingredients. As such, Uncle June’s is an extremely versatile sauce, delicious on everything from pork to pineapples. Be sure to check out our “enjoy on” page for suggestions.
I am an artist and a middle school art teacher in Spotsylvania County. I hold a B.F.A. in Studio Art from James Madison University and currently live in downtown Fredericksburg with my husband.
I create densely layered paintings using watercolor, marker, and ink pens. Small details, patterns, and visual textures are important elements in each piece. My work responds to the beauty of nature, and I hope viewers will pause and take the time to examine each painting.
My mission with my photography is to give each individual that views my work a personal experience. It most likely will not be the same experience as mine, but I do not expect it to be. There was a point in my life when my very existence had become unbearably sharp and painful. But the breakthrough of that pain was an overcoming reflection of Light and Hope. I am very grateful for my new life and my faith in the Lord my Savior. My only desire for you as you view my photographs is that you have a delightful experience. One that becomes very personal for you.
I am a native to Fredericksburg and have taught Art at Massaponax High School for the past nine years. I also work as a portrait artist at Liberty Town Arts Studio.
I paint in oil on canvas in a representational and impressionistic approach. Painting provides me a way to express my visual interest in the beauty of everyday life. As I pursue mastery of my craft, I reach out to both modern and old masters of traditional painting to help develop my vision, content and skill. My goal is to be able to create meaningful and emotive works of art that speak to people.
I am inspired by old masters, John Singer Sargent and Anders Zorn, as well as contemporary artists painting in the traditions of old masters, including Richard Schmid and Robert Liberace.
I am a bird watcher. Many of my recent works are a celebration of my love of birds using collage and paint. Most of them have come fully formed from the end of my brush, never-before-seen species, whimsical creatures, who have begun behave more like people than birds.
My studio is upstairs at 915A Sophia Street, Water Street Studio, where I work and teach.
